Wedding receptions?

A friend of mine is looking for a venue to ost her reception at, she is looking for a historical building/house that she can hire for the night that has nice surrounds for pictures etc...she will also be having the vows at the site, can anyone rcommend a suitable place (she does not want the typical wedding venues available) she is on a budget and is looking at a casual occasion possibly cocktail party, finger food or buffet style ...not a formal sitdown thanks brisbane, AUSTRALIA

1. I noticed in the whitsundays that couples were opting to get married & have their honeymoons there. Bad idea - on your honeymoon you want to get away from everyone. We watched all the newlywed brides eating breakfast with their mums while their grooms partied with mates! I don't know brisbane so I can't help with venues, but make sure the wedding & honeymoon venues are seperate.
